Well as I excepted Luke had another snow day today! And it was a COLD day today. When we woke up the computer said it was 3 degrees outside. That's probably the main reason school was canceled. Since it was too cold to play outside today we decided to stay in and bake some goodies for Luke's teachers and bus drivers. I am thinking tomorrow is going to be the only day Luke goes to school this week as another big ice storm is predicted to hit here on Wednesday night. So I figured we better have the goodies ready to give to the teachers for tomorrow.
First we made microwave fudge, which turned out okay I guess. Not my favorite fudge, but it was good. Then we made chocolate chip cookies. The kids really helped out a lot making these. Luke was the "stirrer" and Emma got to pour all the ingredients in. She kept asking, "can I put the chocolate chips in now?" and then she would eat one. cute girl.
So, we have fudge, chocolate chip cookies, and some sugar cookies they made with Aunt Audra on Sunday night. We have little tins to put them in and then each teacher will get a tin of goodies and Christmas ornament made by my cousin, Mildred Ann. Hopefully there will be school tomorrow, so all these goodies won't be sitting in my house because I will have to eat them then. And I don't need them.
